THE PLAN OF SALVATION

1.  Admit that you are a sinner.

“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”  (Romans 3:23)

2.  Know that God has already provided for your salvation.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”  (John 3:16)

“But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”  (Romans 5:8)

3.  Know that you cannot save yourself.

“Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us….”  (Titus 3:5)

“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:  it is the gift of God:  Not of works, lest any man should boast.”  (Ephesians 2:8-9)

4.  Know that God’s wrath abides on you.

“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”  (John 3:36)

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  (Romans 6:23)

5.  Ask Jesus Christ to save you.

“For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”  (Romans 10:13)

“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shall be saved.”  (Acts 16:31)

6.  Confess Jesus before men.

“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”  (Romans 10:9-10)

HOW DO I ACCEPT HIM?

Here is a simple prayer to help you – all you have to do is pray from your heart, with faith, knowing that He will forgive you:

“Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner.  I ask you now to forgive me of my sins.  I believe Your shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection were for me.  I now receive You as my Lord and Saviour. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace.  Amen.”
